This Is The Pretext Of The Jakarta KPU Regarding Many NIKs, Residents Are Profited As Supporters Of The Independent Dharma-Kun Wardana Paslon

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) has opened its voice regarding the crowds of residents who found their population identification number (NIK) to be used as supporters of Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana.

Dharma-Kun Wardana is the prospective pair of candidates for the Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta for the independent route stated by the KPU to be successful in meeting the requirements for collecting support from Jakarta residents.

Jakarta KPU member, Dody Wijaya, said that his party submitted a follow-up to the alleged violation of the NIK profiteering for this support to the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).

"The room is to carry out the process, to conduct studies, of course the space is in Bawaslu. We certainly coordinate intensively and we are open to all verification processes that have been carried out," said Dody at the DKI Jakarta KPU office, Friday, August 16.

According to Dody, it is currently Bawaslu's authority to trace and uncover the findings of profiteering of residents' NIKs to support Dharma-Kun.

Bawaslu is also authorized to issue any decision or recommendation against the nomination of Dharma-Kun in the Jakarta gubernatorial election to be carried out by the KPU later.

"Of course, if there is a response from the public and it is responded to by Bawaslu friends. We will follow up on recommendations from Bawaslu," he said.

Then, related to the findings of residents who found their NIK to be a supporter of Dharma-Kun on the KPU's Infopemilu page, Dody argued that there was an unrenewable system.

He explained that the Dharma-Kun team initially handed over more than 1 million NIK and citizen ID cards which were claimed to support it in the early stages.

After administrative verification, the KPU found that there were only around 400 thousand NIKs of support. Dharma was again given the opportunity to improve and seek additional support through factual verification.

From this condition, Dody assessed that the NIK of residents who were painted could still be listed on the Infopemilu page but has been declared ineligible. One example is the son of former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

However, Dody claimed to have reported this to the Indonesian KPU to make improvements and updates to the system so that the NIK that did not meet the requirements for support to Dharma-Kun was removed.

"Administrative verification data with factual verification is incorporated, that's what we gave input to the central KPU that this data is actually not eligible. The name of the factual verification for his son, Mr. Anies, and his status does not meet the requirements," said Dody.

Then, how can Dharma-Kun get the NIK of residents who actually do not support them? Dody admitted that he did not know because it was Dharma-Kun's business as a candidate pair.

"Regarding the source of the ID card data and so on, you can ask the candidate pair, where is the source, how to collect it. That is beyond our authority or reach," he added.
