The Head Of The NTB Ministry Of Religion Was Reported To The NTB Prosecutor's Office Regarding Gratification

MATARAM - Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Zamroni Aziz was reported to the NTB High Prosecutor's Office regarding the alleged gratification.

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputera, said that the report that came from the community had just entered the stage of investigating the special criminal field (pidsus).

"The information is from the new pidsus lid (investigation)," said Efrien as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 16.

By submitting that the handling of the report was ongoing at the investigation stage, the prosecutor's office is currently collecting data and information from related parties.

"What is clear is that we continue to follow up on public reports by prioritizing the principle of presumption of innocence," he said.

The alleged gratification that was reported to the NTB Prosecutor's Office was related to several issues that touched Zamroni Azis' authority and position as Head of the NTB Ministry of Religion Regional Office.

There is something related to the organizing committee for the implementation of the Hajj pilgrimage (PPIH) in 2024, moving the duties of government employees with a work agreement (P3K), and placing echelon III positions at the NTB Ministry of Religion Regional Office.

The value of gratuities that Zamroni allegedly received was quite diverse, ranging from tens to hundreds of millions of rupiah. The money was allegedly not received directly, but through accounts intermediary belonging to other people.

Zamroni, who was confirmed regarding the alleged report that entered the NTB Prosecutor's Office, admitted that he did not know about it.

"Who reported it? And what problem? We have no confirmation yet," he said via WhatsApp message.
