South Jakarta City Government Builds Document Service Post For Manggarai Fire Victims

JAKARTA - The City Government (Pemkot) of South Jakarta (Jaksel) has provided a service post to process documents that were destroyed due to fires in RW 06 and 12, Manggarai. "Through the post, it is easier for fire victims to take care of the loss of letters or important documents," said the Mayor of South Jakarta Administration, Munjirin, quoting Antara, Friday, August 16.

The presence of the command post made the service more targeted and summarized the time, said Munjirin in a post-fire refugee handling meeting in RW 6 and RW 12 Manggarai Village which was attended by the leaders of the Regional Apparatus Work Unit (UKPD). "Yesterday I talked with the fire victims, don't let them be confused about what to take care of, and where to go. Of course, this requires a post, people immediately know how big it is there," he continued. Then, continued Munjirin, will mobilize personnel to invite people who are victims to carry out mass service at the location of the fire. Regarding the timing of the implementation, later the sub-district and the relevant village head will be determined. "Then the Environmental Service Sub-dept. must prepare for a shelter location and temporary disposal that may not be so far from the location," he said.

The fire scorched approximately 683 buildings on Jalan Dr Saharjo 1, RW 06 and RW 012 with the number of affected victims reaching 1,050 families on Tuesday (13/8) in the early hours of the morning. The victims currently occupy refugee posts located in five locations, namely Command Post 1 behind Agung Hospital, Command Post 2 at SDN 05 Manggarai, Command Post 3 at KAI Workshop, Command Post 4 at As Sholihin Mosque, and Command Post 5 at the AssyUBhani Mosque. DKI Population and Civil Registration Service (Dukcapil) serves to replace documents damaged by fire on Jalan DR Saharjo I, Manggarai, Tebet, South Jakarta. DKI Education Office will also open a document service post for parents or children whose diplomas are damaged.

The DKI Provincial Government ensures that this document management service is free and does not take long to make.
