The Most Effective COVID-19 Vaccine, According To A Survey: Sputnik V And Pfizer

JAKARTA - What vaccine is the most effective against COVID-19? According to the results of a survey from research firm YouGov, the vaccine that works against the coronavirus is Sputnik V.

YouGov collected data from respondents totaling 9.417. Each respondent came from 9 countries, namely India, Brazil, Mexico, Philippines, Vietnam, Argentina, Algeria, UAE, and Serbia. The results of this research prove that 3 vaccine-producing countries are Russia, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Of the three countries, there are only two countries that are trusted vaccine producers, namely Russia and the United States. Russia is in first place with 54 percent, while the US is in second place. The distance between the two is quite thin, only 0.1 percent, as compiled from the YouGov website page.

Meanwhile, England won 48 percent by occupying the third position. Then the fourth and fifth positions are occupied by China and Sweden, which stood at 26.9 percent and 26.8 percent.

Meanwhile, regarding the survey of vaccines that were injected, the choice of respondents fell on Pfizer BioNTech as much as 36.8 percent. While in second place is occupied by the Russian-made vaccine, Sputnik V, which stood at 33.2 percent.

Then in position 4 is occupied by vaccines made in China, Sinovac at 26.5 percent, and Sinopharm vaccines by 25.3 percent. AstraZeneca occupies the fifth and sixth places with 23.4 percent and 17.2 percent for the Moderna vaccine. The bottom position is filled by Johnson & Johnson vaccines 17 percent and Cansino 8 percent.

Although the Sputnik V vaccine ranks second in respondents' willingness to be vaccinated, it turns out that Sputnik V has the highest level of popularity among others.

Sputnik V is the most popular vaccine against COVID-19 with the largest achievement, namely 73.6 percent. Pfizer's second position was 42.4 percent, Moderna 42.4 percent and Sinopharm 31 percent. While the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is 30.3 percent. This survey is conducted from 18 February to 3 March 2021.
