Sonos Plans To Re-launch Its Old App Version
JAKARTA The problem in Sonos' latest application is still unresOLVEd even though the company has released several improvements. Therefore, Sonos plans to re-release an old version of its mobile app. Based on the report of The Verge, Sonos officials have conducted high-level discussions to bring back previous versions of the app. Since the latest version of its application launched last May, Sonos has difficulty overcoming bugs on its platform. In addition, the Sonos app got negative feedback in app stores like the Google Play Store. Various issues that continue to appear in the latest version of its application make Sonos get more one-star ratings on the Play Store. By bringing back the previous version of the software, Sonos may be able to relieve the frustration of its users. However, it is not certain whether Sonos will switch to the old app version or retain its latest version. Until last August 7, Sonos CEO Patrick Spence still believes that overhauling the Sonos app is the right action. However, it is undeniable that Sonos has made a very fatal mistake mistake. "Even though the redesign of the application is the right thing to do, our execution is not as expected," said Spence. "The application situation has become an obstacle to existing product sales and we believe our focus should be aimed at the application." In addition to causing the launch schedule of two of his latest products to be postponed, Sonos has also laid off its work relationship (PHK) with 100 employees. These layoffs occur in various divisions such as products and techniques, marketing, platforms, and others.

The termination of this employee has been confirmed directly by Spence. The CEO of Sonos said that his company was forced to lay off due to the impact of the application recovery. "We made a difficult decision to say goodbye to about 100 team members representing 6 percent of the company," Spence said. "We believe that today's action will not affect our ability to fulfill our promise (improvement of the app)."
