Jokowi: There Are 472 Investors Interested In Investment In IKN, Who Are Serious 220

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowo) revealed that those interested in investing in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), in East Kalimantan, reached 472 investors. However, only 220 are worthy and serious.

"There are 472 investors who submitted and signed the LOI (letter of intent or statement of interest) with the OIKN (Post Nusantara Capital Authority) but remain selected and meet with 220 serious investors and want to enter IKN Nusantara," Jokowi said as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Monday, August 12.

Jokowi said that even though the government opened the door for as many investments as possible to enter IKN, they would still be selected.

He emphasized that investors cannot enter directly without going through selection.

"Everything remains selected, nothing can be done right away. Everything is selected," he said.

Jokowi hopes that the 220 investors who are declared serious to invest in IKN will immediately realize their investments.

"We hope that 220 will be selected by the Head of OIKN and immediately realize investment in IKN Nusantara," he said.

Currently, Jokowi continued, the government is still prioritizing investments that enter IKN, East Kalimantan comes from domestic investors.

"Until now, we are still prioritizing domestic investment, although there is also a request from outside investors. Once again, the priority is domestic investment first, then from outside," he explained.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta said that investors who are really serious about entering IKN will be fully served by OIKN.

The government will also provide various types of incentives for investors.

One of the incentives that will be given to investors is to obtain business rights (HGU) up to 190 years and building rights (HGB) for land in IKN for up to 160 years.

"Currently, if you are investing in the capital city of Nusantara, the signature of PKS (cooperation agreement) is fast, and after that the Ministry (ATR) of BPN will issue its HGB for a maximum of 11 days. Very fast," he said.
