President Abbas Calls Solutions For Two Peace Insurance Countries In The Middle East

JAKARTA - The release of Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories and the implementation of decisions on the formation of two sovereign countries, namely Arab and Jewish countries, will guarantee long-term peace in the Middle East, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas told Russian news agencies.

President Abbas plans to visit Moscow this week, talk to the Kremlin Leaders and discuss various issues, including conflicts in the Gaza Strip.

"The guarantee to achieve stability and security in the Middle East is the implementation of a decision on the formation of two countries, based on international law, the withdrawal of Israel from the Palestinian territories, which has been occupied since 1967, with the capital city of East Jerusalem there," President Abbas said in an interview with TASS. August 12.

The Palestinian leader said he believed that when in power, "Israel's current extremist government does not believe in peace and position itself above international law and it is pushing the situation in the Middle East into a more tense situation."

As evidence, he continued, there must be "sacre, genocide, and ethnic cleansing by the Israeli military in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, as well as its attacks on neighboring countries."

"If Israel wants a safe and peaceful life with its neighbors as a normal and peaceful country, Israel must approve the application of a two-state solution based on an international legal framework, including the Arab Peace Pre-Corruption," President Abbas added.

As previously reported, Palestinian Ambassador to Russia Abdel Hafiz Nofal said on Sunday President Abbas would make an official visit to Russia on August 12-14.

"The president will arrive on August 12 in the afternoon. He is expected to meet with President Putin on Tuesday. Prior to that, Mahmoud Abbas will lay a wreath at the Tomb of Unknown Soldiers in Moscow," said Ambassador Nofal.

"The president will be in Russia until August 14. Of course, there will be a meeting with Arab ambassadors," the diplomat continued.

Ambassador Nofal further explained that the topic to be discussed was the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

"The situation in Gaza will be the main agenda. They will discuss Russia's role and what it can do. We are in a very difficult situation, and Russia is a country close to us. We need to consult," said Ambassador Nofal.

It is known that the escalation in the Middle East has increased following the death of Hamas Political Bureau Head Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Iran as well as the assassination of senior military commander Hezbollah Fuad Shukr in Beirut, Lebanon.

Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah consider Israel responsible, insisting these attacks will be rewarded with retaliation.
