Hendri, Suspected Of Being A Victim Of Kidnapping Foreign Citizen, Asked His Father For Rp. 18 Million To Not Be Tortured
JAKARTA Daniel, Hendri's cousin (39), again explained that his nephew could return home from the family's handover of Rp500 million. Not only that, but the family was also asked for Rp18 million to stop the torture of Hendri.
Daniel suspects that one of the perpetrators is a Malaysian citizen (WN). The allegation was based on Daniel's suspicion when talking to one of the perpetrators by telephone.
"So just asking for help, apologizing. He aims to ask for USD 30 thousand. Yes, more or less if we pay around Rp. 500 million," Daniel told VOI, Friday, August 9.
While being held captive, continued Daniel, Hendri was also tortured by not being given food and drink. If he wanted to drink, he was told to wait for rainwater.

"Until his name was hit with a golf club, a baseball club. According to Hendri's confession, his voice recording was there, he called, we recorded it, he was not fed, he was not given a drink, if it was raining in the rain," he said.
He also said that Hendri had asked for Rp. 18 million so as not to be tortured.
"This afternoon he called his father. Asking for money of around Rp. 18 million first, it's not to let go of Hendri, it's to lighten his burden in the sense that he doesn't get beat up. That's according to Hendri the statement is like that, because he can't beat his language every day," he said.
Daniel admitted that he was confused in helping his nephew. Because Hendri is not in Indonesia, but in other people's countries.
