Police Denies Case Completed, Agency Apologizes Again About Suga BTS Misinformation

JAKARTA - Suga BTS was reported to have violated the rules after driving a motorbike drunk. He was questioned by the police because he fell while driving the vehicle.

Wednesday, August 7, BIGHIT MUSIC and Suga released an apology and said the vehicle used was a scooter. This had made fans state that Suga did not count as driving a vehicle.

The Yongsan police made a clarification that the vehicle used was not a scooter but a scooter with a seat. In addition, the police also emphasized that investigations were still being carried out even though the agency stated that the case had been completed.

"The vehicle that Suga used when driving was drunk was identified as an electric scooter with a seat," said the Yongsan police, launching Nate.

Thursday, August 8, BIGHIT MUSIC released an additional statement saying they were wrong in providing information to the public. They claimed they did not mean to underestimate the incident and thought the police had completed the case.

First, we apologize once again for disappointing many people. We also apologize for making a statement without checking things," said BIGHIT MUSIC.

"Regarding the use of the word electric scooter. We call the vehicle the artist uses a scooter with additional seating, so we call it an electric scooter. We don't mean to underestimate the incident. We once again apologize for making statements without looking at the facts," the agency said.

"On August 6, after the artist was examined, he was sent home. Both the artist and the agency were not aware that several stages had to be completed in the investigation process. And we thought the investigation (at the police station) indicated that his business was over. We apologize for providing misinformation because of miscommunication," he continued.

"Apart from all that, both artists and agencies apologize because we cannot set a good example during military service and he (Suga) committed an incident in the middle of an assignment. We apologize to the fans who feel disappointed," said the agency again.

The agency closed its statement committed to following the procedures requested by the police during the investigation period. Suga himself has been serving in the military as a public officer since March 2024.
