Connie Chiume, Black Panther Star Dies 72 Years Old
JAKARTA - Sad news came from the film industry. Connie Chiume, a South African-blooded actor known through the Black Panther film franchise, died on Tuesday, August 6 yesterday.
The family shared this sad news through social media. Chiume died at Johannesburg Hospital. They did not explain the reason for the actor's death at the age of 72.
Chiume's family wants to inform the death of international award-winning actor Connie Chiume, said the family through Chiume's Instagram account.
"Connie Chiume died at Garden City Hospital on August 6, 2024. The family asked for privacy during this difficult time. The family will explain the detailed information," he said.
The South African government paid their attention to this news. Through social media, they wrote, "My condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of legendary actress Connie Chiume. Her hard work will always be remembered."

Connie Chiume is an actress who was born on June 5, 1952 and was born in Welkom, South Africa. Before becoming an actress, she had studied being a nurse and then a teacher.
In the '70s, he joined musical groups traveling to several places to feature several stages such as Ipi Ntombi and Porgy and Bess.
Returning to South Africa, he began acting on a number of local television shows and films. His name became popular after he joined the production of the film Black Panther as one of Wakanda's leaders in 2018.
Five years later, he returned with the same role for the sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever who successfully occupied the box office.
After that he starred in the series Heart of the Hunter and Soon Comes Night. He also appeared on Beyonce's Black is King's visual album.
Connie Chiume left three children and five grandchildren at the age of 72 years.
