Gerindra Denies There Is A Perppu For Revision Of The MD3 Law Regarding The Chair Of The Speaker Of The DPR

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives from the Gerindra faction, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, denied the issuance of a Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) to revise the Law on the MPR, DPR and DPD RI (UU MD3) regarding the position of Chairman of the DPR.

Dasco emphasized that the current leadership of the DPR has not heard of the issue of the issuance of the Perppu.

"No, let's talk about the chairman of the DPR. Nothing, we haven't talked about it. We haven't heard (If it's the MD3 Perppu, ed). Who's talking about it," said Dasco, Thursday, August 1.

According to Dasco, the media needs to ask for information about the issue to PDIP politician, Deddy Yevry Sitorus, as the party that first echoed the discourse.

"Just asked the person concerned. The source of the news is where, if we have never heard of it," said the daily chairman of the Gerindra DPP.

Dasco then explained that there was indeed a request from the Chairman of the DPR Banggar as well as a member of the PDIP faction, Said Abdullah, to include the MD3 Law in the priority Prolegnas.bab he said, there were several articles related to finance.

"Well, Mr. Said's request was that MD3 be included. But then because we are afraid, worried, that if the MD3 is then we roll out things that are not desirable, the agreement will be the same, right? That's not our request, that's Mr. Said Abdullah's request," he said.

Previously, the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP, Deddy Yevri Sitorus, admitted that he received information regarding the plan to issue a Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) to smooth the revision of Law Number 13/2019 concerning MPR, DPR, DPRD, DPD (UU MD3).

Initially, Deddy Sitorus responded to the question of how PDIP responded as the most votes-winning political party in the 2024 Legislative Election based on the final recapitulation of the KPU.

"Yes, it should be like that. What's surprising?", said Deddy to reporters, Wednesday, July 31.

Deddy then admitted that he received news that there would be a Perppu to smooth the revision of the MD3 Law in parliament.

"What's surprising is that, if you may need it, there are reports, he said, there is an MD3 Perppu, it wants to be made," said the member of the DPR.
