IPhone Dominates Top 10 Smartphone List For Q2 2024

JAKARTA - The iPhone continues to dominate the top smartphone sales list in the second quarter of 2024, although its position has weakened slightly compared to Q2 2023.

In the second quarter, Apple and Samsung usually occupy most of the positions on the list of the world's best-selling ten smartphones by Counterpoint. For Q2 2024, the list is still dominated by Apple as the primary option.

According to a list generated by Counterpoint's Global Monthly Handset Sales Tracker Model, the iPhone 15 holds the largest market share at 4.1%, followed by the iPhone 15 Pro Max with 3.7%, and the iPhone 15 Pro with 3.1%.

This result reflects the results of Q2 2023, when the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and iPhone 14 Pro occupy the same position. The difference is that each model has decreased in market share by 0.1%.

A significant change occurred in the position of the previous generation iPhone model. In Q2 2023, the iPhone 13 occupied fourth position with a share of 2.6%. However, in Q2 2024, the iPhone 14 only reached sixth position with 1.6%, losing to the Samsung Galaxy A15 4G in fifth position (1.8%) and the A15 5G in fourth position (2.0%).

The Q2 2024 list is filled by the Samsung Galaxy A55 in seventh position (1.5%), the Xiaomi Redmi 13C 4G in eighth position (1.5%), the Galaxy S24 Ultra in ninth position (1.4%), and the Galaxy A05 in tenth position (1.4%).

Despite peaking, the report follows a report from July 17 that the iPhone 15 line continues to experience unsatisfactory sales. In the latest quarter, the iPhone 15 model accounted for 67% of total iPhone sales, down from 79% in iPhone 14 generation at the same time last year.
