Free Rice Cooker Sharing Program Continues, Government Ready To Spread 137,000 AML

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of Electricity stated that it would continue the program to distribute electrical cooking utensils (AML) in the form of rice cooks or rice cookers to the public.

"This AML, we will continue, hopefully it won't be much longer for 137,000, if I'm not mistaken IDR 182 billion, it will be continued this year and the data has begun to be prepared and I hope it will be completed in 10 months," said Jisman to the media, Wednesday, July 31.

Jisman also said that his party had reviewed a number of benefits from this AML-sharing program, including reducing emissions to cleaner because they switched from using electricity to other benefits that could reduce the import rate of LPG.

"So there are three. Clean, optimize electricity, and reduce imports. We have reported it to the Ministry of Finance, as the basis of this program is successful or not, something like that," continued Jisman.

Later, he said, the procurement of this program will use a bidding scheme openly so that the brand that will be distributed depends on the winner of this auction.

"The minister [rice cooker] from bidding, for the new one must be bidding again," concluded Jisman.
