Not Afraid Of Israel's Threat, Turkish President: They Can't Stop Tayyip Erdogan From Speaking The Truth
JAKARTA - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he was not worried about Israel's threat, nothing could stop him from voicing the truth.
He said he would not be intimidated by threats issued by Israel's Foreign Minister, Israel Katz on social media, condemning such things.
"We are members of a nation whose national anthem begins with "Don't be afraid...". The disrespectful messages from theowers behind their keyboards will not scare us," he said in a speech to the ruling members of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) on Tuesday, reported by the Daily Sabah July 30.
President Erdogan further said, no matter how bad Israel is, they will not be able to stop it from shouting the truth.
"They couldn't stop Tayyip Erdogan from voicing the truth," he said.
Earlier, President Erdogan said on Sunday Turkey might intervene in Israel to stop the killings.
Foreign Minister Katz responded by equating President Erdogan to Saddam Hussein of Iraq, saying the Turkish president should remember what happened to the Iraqi leader. He also called for Turkey to be expelled from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
In response to this, the Turkish Foreign Ministry reminded Katz of the fate of Adolf Hitler, "a perpetrator of genocide."
"Netanyahu, another perpetrator of genocide, will suffer the same fate. Those who try to destroy Palestinians will be held accountable like Nazis who commit genocide. Humanity will stand with Palestinians. You cannot destroy Palestinians," the ministry said.
