Examined About Harun Masiku, Wahyu Setiawan: I Was Called By Investigator Rossa Purbo

JAKARTA - Former Commissioner of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Wahyu Setiawan has finished undergoing examination today. He admitted that he was examined as a witness in the bribery case of former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku and one of the investigators who examined him was Rossa Purbo Bekti.

"Today I was summoned by investigators Pak Purbo, Rossa Purbo is a witness for the suspect Harun Masiku," Wahyu told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, July 29.

Wahyu said that during the six-hour examination, 15 questions were asked. However, he did not want to elaborate further on the contents of the investigators' questions.

He only made sure to provide information that he knew so that the fugitive Harun could be arrested immediately. "I provide further information to help investigators complete their duties," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK investigated Wahyu Setiawan regarding the bribery case related to the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives who ensnared him and former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku. He underwent examination since 09.50 WIB.

"That's right, witness WS was present and asked for information in the bribery case with the suspect HM," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Monday, July 29.

This is not the first time Wahyu has been questioned by investigators. He was also worked on by investigators on Thursday, December 28 and was asked about the bribery of former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku who was still at large.

In addition, KPK investigators are also exploring several things, including Harun's whereabouts. However, Wahyu admitted that he did not know about it.

As for the bribery case of Harun Masiku, investigators have prevented five people from leaving the country. One of them is the staff of the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto, Kusnadi.

In addition, the KPK also opens up opportunities to apply the article on obstruction of justice. This possibility opened up after Dona Berisa, who is Saeful Bahri's ex-wife, was examined as a witness some time ago.
