PKB Holds The 6th Anniversary Congress, Cak Imin Will Be Replaced?

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) will hold the 6th Congress at the end of 2024. The implementation of the congress after the 2024 Pilkada stage was decided at the PKB National Working Conference (Mukernas).

"Mukernas has decided to hold the 6th PKB Congress at the end of the year after the 2024 simultaneous regional elections," said PKB Deputy Chairman Jazilul Fawaid in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 24.

In the previous Mukernas, PKB determined the continuation of the position of General Chair again held by Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) for the 2019-2024 management period.

Then, in the 6th Congress, will the position of Chairman of PKB experience regeneration? Jazilul did not answer clearly. He admitted that he did not know the exact agenda of the 6th Congress in the future. What is clear, there will be discussions regarding the management of the PKB DPP.

"Usually there are commission and plenary sessions, regarding work program commissions, commissions related to spiritualization and AD/ART and commissions and plenaries related to the structure of the upcoming DPP management," said Jazilul.

In the implementation of the 6th Congress, PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar served as the person in charge. Jazilul Fawaid and Ida Fauziah as the steering board, Faisol Riza as the steering committee, Syaiful Huda as secretary and Bambang Susanto as treasurer. There is also a newly formed technical committee.

"So this material is being prepared. Now this is actually Mukernas only deciding on the committee. Later the committee will immediately meet and propose several alternative places. The date has not yet been decided, but what is clear is that at the end of this year," he explained.
