South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office Prepares 6 Suspects Of Mining Corruption, Environmental Damage Reaches Half A Trillion

The South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has named six suspects in the alleged corruption case of coal mines which resulted in environmental damage and state losses of IDR 555 billion in the 2010-2014 period.

South Sumatra Attorney General's Intelligence Assistant (Asintel) Bambang Panca Wahyudi said the investigation team in the field of special criminal acts at the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office named six suspects in connection with the results of investigations in the alleged corruption case of alleged corruption in mining management corruption, coal mining permits.

"The investigative team has collected evidence and evidence so that based on sufficient preliminary evidence as stipulated in Article 184 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code, today six suspects were determined," he said.
