Apple Prepares Various Updates To Welcome The 2024 Summer Olympics In Paris
JAKARTA - Apple has prepared various updates to welcome the 2024 Summer Olympics which will start on Friday, July 26. In an effort to support this big event, Apple is updating the Apple Maps application specifically for Paris, where the event will take place.
Permanent venues such as the Parc de Princes and the Aquatique Olympique Center are now featured as special 3D landmarks. In addition, iconic sites such as Gare de l'Est, Pont d'Iéna, and Place de la Madeleine are also displayed in more complete detail.
For the first time, the Maps app will feature pop-up locations that include temporary venues, souvenir shops, and public gathering places. This feature is expected to help visitors find important locations during the Olympics.
All match locations and ceremony venues have special icons that make it easier for visitors, while the Maps app also provides the latest updates on road closures and event-related notices.
In addition to the update to Maps, Apple will feature stories highlighting popular events such as gymnastics and swimming on the App Store. Users are advised to download the official Paris 2024 Olympics app to keep up with the events. Sports applications and mobile games with sports themeds as well as health and fitness applications will also get the spotlight.

For complete coverage of Olympic events, users can download the Peacock and NBC Sports apps from the App Store. Peacock will provide a daily summary of the Olympics for fans in the US, with a customized playlist from the highlights of the previous day's event. Apple TV also provides NBC Olympics Hub for quick access to NBC coverage.
Apple Podcasts will feature events and episodes celebrating sport and forces gathering in Paris, while Apple News will present drain coverage of Olympic events and stars along with the event schedule. Apple Music is also planning the publication of Guide to French Music, an in-depth editorial feature on various music genres in France, which will be released this week.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will begin with the Opening Ceremony at 13:30 East time or 19:30 Paris time. Football matches will start on July 24, followed by other sports such as badminton, handball, rowing, volleyball, fencing, field hockey, shooting, diving, and gymnastics which begin on July 27. The event will last until August 11.
