Proton Mail Introduces Proton Scrube, AI-powered New Writing Assistant

JAKARTA - The Proton Mail introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered writing assistant, Proton Scrube, which will help compile and perfect the draft.

"Proton Scribe will save you time and energy that you should use to write the first draft," the company said in an announcement on its official website.

Proton Scrube is installed automatically on your Proton Mail composer. You can access this tool by using a pencil icon and type what you want to write, and the app will create a draft for you.

If you use Mail Essentials, Mail Professionals, or Proton Business Suite packages, you can open a composer, click on the pencil icon, right now.

Proton Scribe also provides several editing tools such as Shorten or Proof to correct your draft so that it is free from typos and grammar.

If you write for important clients or formal institutions, you can also easily correct your email tone with the Formalize option. You can then perfect and edit it, then send it when it's appropriate.

The company also confirmed that its AI assistant will not use data from your incoming contacts as its AI training model. So, you can still feel safe using it.

Scribe relies on open source codes and models, and is an open source and is therefore available for independent security and privacy audits," explained the company.

They also said that, Scribe is also protected by Proton's strict privacy policy, and after you finish compiling the email, nothing you type will be recorded or stored.
