No Need For English Songs, Indies Call Denny Caknan And Guyon Waton More Attractive International Market

JAKARTA - Baskara Putra alias Indies is of the view that the dream of a musician to appear abroad or go international does not have to have English songs.

Seeing Latin music and K-Pop, both are able to penetrate the world market and cultural boundaries through their own culture. Most Latin and K-pop music still uses their respective languages in song lyrics.

According to the Indies, the use of international languages does not guarantee that an artist can go international. The 'house to Home' singer actually sees songs in regional languages as interesting for foreign markets.

"Actually, we also imagine that a few years later the Indonesian song will penetrate everywhere, and it turns out that those who have an impact are like Guyon Waton, Ndarboy, and Mas Denny Caknan," said Baskara Putra in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Wednesday, July 17.

"For me personally, music is like that, it's even more unique for outsiders than hearing Indonesian pop songs," continued the Indies.

Moreover, the current music industry is more flexible and the existence of technology is very easy. Everyone can hear any language song from anywhere.

"Because for me personally, after this one to two years of experience, making shows abroad is not that difficult, it's really easy. I'm not hyperbolic. Looking for a promoter is also very easy. For the audience, they can see it from the spotify. To sell out, I can," concluded Baskara Putra.
