Three Points Of Hetty Koes Endang's Response To Richard Kyoto's Open Summons

Hetty Koes Endang conveyed three points in response to the alleged copyright infringement that Richard Kyoto and his team of attorneys mentioned through an open subpoena recently.

Hetty's statement was represented and signed by DR. Ir. Yusuf Faishal MSc. MBA., through a written press release received by VOI on Thursday, July 18.

Three points of Hetty's response denied the four points conveyed in Richard Kyoto's subpoena, which included permission to perform songs, changing lyrics, distributing compact discs (CD), and mentioning the name of the songwriter.

Here are three response points for Hetty Koes Endang:

1. At Every concert event, the Committee (EO) is always dealing with the authorities. For example, Concerts at Singapore with Compass (org.sg), in Malaysia with MACP and in Indonesia with WAMI. Both for Permits performance and performance recordings. The committee must pay a certain amount of money for these Permits. Usually, the Committee is no longer dealing with Composers. Demikisn also with Concert Singers. Singers only serve (according to the contract) to sing songs requested by the Committee in accordance with the Irish provided by the Committee. Often assisted by reading the promoter. Singers have nothing to do with Composer/song creators.

2. Likewise, if the Concert is recorded and included in the CD/Obviously for sale. The selection of songs and lyrics included in the CD/Obviously is dealing with the same organization (Compass, MACP and WAMI). SingerS ARE NOT responsible for the recording effort, and even deserve Royalty.

3, In the 2nd point above, if there is a link error and the misprinting of the songwriter's name is the responsibility of the Committee (Siti Nurhalza Production and Universal Music Malaysia) and Publisher (Lincai Emas Sdn. Bhd). Not the responsibility of Singer (Hetty Koes Endang).
