Perpetrators Of The Murder Of Australian Couples In The Philippines Surrender To Police
JAKARTA - A suspect in the murder of an Australian couple and their Filipino relatives at a Philippine hotel on July 10 surrendered.
The 33-year-old was handed over to police on Wednesday, July 17, after surrendering to local officials on Tuesday night for the murder of David Fisk (57), his wife who was born in the Philippines, Australia, Lucita Cortez, 55, and relatives Mary Jane Cortez. 30.
The three were found dead at the Lake Hotel in Tagaytay, a tourist destination near Manila.
They were face down with their hands and feet tied and their faces covered with tape, according to police.

The police did not reveal the identity of the suspect, but described him as a former employee of The Lake Hotel where he worked as a swimming pool officer before being fired for stealing goods from a hotel room in March.
