Roy Suryo: There Was A Deliberate Analysis Of The Hacking Of PDNS

JAKARTA - Telematics expert Roy Suryo urged the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi to immediately take action against people deemed responsible for hacking the Temporary National Data Center (PDNS). According to Roy Suryo, all parties suspected of being involved should not be allowed to walk freely because this hack has a very wide impact on society.

"This is a very big and dangerous incident. Only, what we see, why does the government seem negligent?", said the former Minister of Youth and Sports to host Eddy Wijaya on the EdShareOn podcast which aired on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Roy Suryo detailed the person in question, one of which was a figure with the initials DPA, who was suspected of being an 'insider' at PDNS, who had uploaded PDNS' service access document (Government Cloud) on a digital document sharing site Scribd, which was detected as the beginning of Cipher's Brain hacker's entry. "This DPA put the data on the screen so clearly, containing its form, IP, password, and username. So that people can easily get access," he said.

Other responsible parties are people who know about efforts to deactivate PDNS' window security features which eventually resulted in hacking on June 17, 2024 at 23.15 WIB. At that time they did not take extra quick action after knowing about the hack, but seemed silent. "Well, if you have been attacked by hackers like that, I'm sorry, once again I say sorry, it's stupid for people to use a computer, it must be surprising because there will be a sign like pop up or a red line if it's on a large server. Well, the officers should react immediately. But this doesn't react even at all for 23 days. That's why this officer must be searched for! " he said.

Another party responsible is the Brain Cipher hacker who hacked the PDNS. Roy Suryo considered this hacker suspicious for choosing to apologize after hacking government data instead of continuing the request for reward. Roy also believes the hacker is in action from abroad but the possibility of the culprit is Indonesian.

"Certainly he is an Indonesian. Because if he doesn't, he can't take advantage of the carelessness, stupidity, and intentional actions that do those parties (people in the PDNS)," said Roy. Many people say they may not be native foreigners. Why? The English when announcing apologies is just fake, like English google translate, Roy added.

Roy Suryo then said strangeness started from the attitude of the Government, in this case Kominfo, the existence of insiders' in PDNS, and hackers who apologized for causing great speculation in society. In my opinion, there is indeed one big sign, yes, big question, actually this is intentional or not," said Roy.

"It's only natural that many analyzes say this is intentional, why? The rules haven't been made, someone has leaked the password, suddenly there are hackers who initially asked for 8 million dollars and then apologized. Srimulat just lost funny", said Roy Suryo with a laugh. Watch more on EdShare On Eddy Wijaya! (ADV)
