Gibran Asks His Substitute To Continue Solo City Development
Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked the acting Mayor of Surakarta to immediately continue the construction of the City of Solo as planned.
"There are still many, construction is still ongoing, some are just cutting the ribbon. I have signed the BAST (receipt report). After this, the deputy can open Balekambang for the people of Solo," he said after submitting his resignation letter to the Surakarta City DPRD office in Solo, Central Java. reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 16.
In addition, what can also be done in the near future is the transfer of traders to Jongke Market whose construction has been completed.
"That has been regulated by the relevant agencies. Development this year can be continued by the deputy mayor, hopefully in the future it can continue to be sustainable," he said.
On the same occasion, Deputy Mayor of Surakarta Teguh Prakosa said that according to the advice of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Gibran did not need to wait for the process to run.
"This means that those who should wait for the Governor's Decree from the Ministry of Home Affairs, then they don't need to take that. On 16 (July 2024) nothing is signed," he said.

However, he hopes that a decree from the Ministry of Home Affairs can be issued before July 31, 2024, both dismissal and officials who will replace it.
