Wijaya Karya Wants To Be Toll Investment, Staff Erick Thohir: To Help Cashflow
JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk plans to divest a number of toll roads it has built. The corporate action aims to strengthen the company's cash flow or cash flow.
The investment assets that will be released are the Manado-Bitung Toll Road, the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road, the Soreang-Pasirkoja Toll Road, the Semarang-Demak Toll Road, and the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road.
Special Staff to the Minister of SOEs Arya Sinulingga said that divestment was already part of the company's plan. He said the release of the toll road would help the company.
"What is certain is that we plan (plan), hopefully all roads. That's how he helps his cash flow," Arya said when met at the Perum Perhutani Office, Jakarta, Monday, July 15.
However, Arya does not want the toll road divestment steps to be considered a loss. According to Arya, it is the same as the Fast Train project Whereh, the toll road directed by WIKA, there is also a business process that is still running.
"That's what he was rich about about trustsh, it's not about the loss, but about him still in the road process. It's like people build a shop, it's impossible to buy a shop, first of all, it's not immediately eating something that comes up," he said.

Regarding investors, Arya admitted that he had not seen who would acquire the number of toll roads. However, Arya opened up the possibility that the private sector was involved in the corporate action.
For example, continued Arya, the divestment process by PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk from the ownership of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol to the Metro Pacific Tollways Corp (MPTC) and GIC Pte. Ltd in the Salim Group vortex.
"If the private sector wants to enter, it's good, we want the investment to come in like that, when they start entering, it means they have started to see, starting to benefit," he said.
