Identified, 2 Landslide Victims In Gorontalo Handed Over To Their Families

Gorontalo Police Chief Inspector General Pudji Prasetijanto Hadi handed over the bodies of victims of landslides for people's gold mines in East Suwawa to their families at Bhayangkara Gorontalo Hospital, Gorontalo Regency.

Inspector General Pudji expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and revealed that the Gorontalo Police would continue to provide assistance and assistance needed by the families of the victims.

"We express our deepest condolences for the tragedy that befell the family. May the deceased, the deceased be accepted by God, and the family left behind will be given strength and fortitude," said the Kapolda as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 12.

In addition to handing over the bodies, the Gorontalo Police also provided psychological support to the families of the victims through the psychological team from the Gorontalo Police HR Bureau which provided trauma healing and counseling to bereaved families.

The Regional Police Chief said that during the identification process, the Gorontalo Police were also working with the DVI Pusdokkes Team at the National Police Headquarters to continue to make efforts to identify the unidentified bodies. In addition, his party also coordinates with local governments and related agencies to restore areas affected by landslides.

According to him, the handover of the bodies was carried out at the Bhayangkara Gorontalo Hospital, as a form of attention and respect from the ranks of the Gorontalo Police for the victims and their families who were left behind.

Previously, the Indonesian Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (Inafis) Team of the National Police Headquarters and the Gorontalo Police Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) had succeeded in identifying two of the three bodies of victims of the East Suwawa gold mine landslide.

The bodies that have been identified are the late Selmihayati Pou, residents of Bongoime, Tilongkabila, Bone Bolango Regency, and the late Mohamad Akuba, residents of North Hamlet, Maleo Village, Paguat, Pohuwato Regency. One body of a man under the body has not yet been identified.
