4 People Trapped In Elevator, Jakarta Manpower And Transmigration Office Sidak Citra Tower Kemayoran Building

JAKARTA - The incident of 4 people being trapped in an elevator at the Citra Tower Building, Apron Street, Kebon Blank, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, received attention from the Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Service (Disnakertransgi).

Head of the Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Kadisnakertransgi), Hari Nugroho, said that his party had received reports related to the incident of 4 people being trapped in the Citra Tower Building elevator.

Based on a report from the Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-dept. (Sudin Gulkarmat), the cause of the traffic jam that occurred in Citra Tower Kemayoran was suspected to have been caused by a system error.

Even when carrying out the rescue evacuation of four victims, the Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. rescue team was hampered by the obstacle to the existence of a traffic jam between the 18A and 19 floors so that the evacuation process took a long time.

"Yes (today check to the location)," he said.

Although there were no casualties in the bad elevator incident at Citra Tower Kemayoran, the Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Office will supervise all high-rise building managers. Supervision will be further improved in order to anticipate recurring events.

"(We urge building managers to carry out mutual tests of their K3 equipment, such as elevators, escalators, Gondola and others so that when used in safe conditions," he appealed.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 4 residents were trapped in the Citra Tower elevator, Apron Street, Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta. The incident made the four victims hysterical because the elevator stopped at an altitude between the 18A and 19th floors.

Head of the Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept., Asril Rizal, confirmed the incident. His party has deployed a tin rescue to evacuate the victims from the elevator.

"There are four people trapped in the elevator. It is suspected that the cause was due to the error of the elevator system," said Asril Rizal when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, July 11.

After receiving the report, the Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. deployed 2 units of teams with a total of 6 rescue members to rescue victims.

"The object of four people trapped in the elevator was successfully evacuated from the elevator. The evacuation of the four people lasted about 90 minutes," he said.
