JAKARTA - Batara Ageng, former celebrity manager of Fujianti alias Fuji, was arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police on suspicion of embezzlement of money reaching Rp1.3 billion. Batara is said to have used Fuji's work money for his personal needs.

Acting Head of Public Relations of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Diaman Saragih, said Batara was suspected of using Fuji's working money as a result of collaborating with a number of brands or agencies.

Batara became Fuji's manager from December 2021 to December 2022. However, the money that was supposed to go into Fuji's account was transferred to Batara's personal account without Fuji's knowledge.

The suspect then used the money for his personal needs.

"The perpetrator used the money for his personal needs," said AKP Diaman when confirmed, Thursday, July 11.

The Head of Crime Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Tomi Kurniawan, added that Batara had been summoned but was not present once for certain reasons.

A year working with Fuji, Batara admitted that she received a salary or a salary of Rp. 500 thousand per month, and received a fee of 5% from each brand that came in. Then in February 2023, his salary was increased to Rp. 1 million per month.

Batara admitted that the amount of money amounting to Rp1,312,997,100 was the result of cooperation between 21 brands or agents to Fuji, so it went into her personal account. Batara said, the money was deliberately not reported, and was not given to Fuji.

It was stated that the money was no longer there because it had been used for his personal needs while being Fuji's manager.

Some of the personal needs financed with the money include paying Hyundai Creta's car installments of around Rp. 300 million, and renting an apartment at Permata Hijau of Rp. 9 million per month.
