Residents Clash In Bassura Again Occurs, Police: Triggers Face To Face And Mock
JAKARTA - Two groups of residents of RW 01 and RW 02 again carried out a brawl by throwing stones at Jalan Basuki Rahmat (Bassura), North Cipinang Besar Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Tuesday, July 9.
The commotion that has been going on for years is thought to have been triggered by mocking each other from both sides. In fact, the two groups of warring residents have been mediated by the East Jakarta Metro Police.
"Initially, residents of one RW gathered, then looked at each other and mocked each other so that the brawl broke out," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly at the scene, Tuesday, July 9, evening.
Police officers assisted by the TNI, East Jakarta Satpol PP and the kelurahan carried out security to reduce the brawl. The police chief appealed to each team to be aware that their actions disrupted security and public order (Kamtibmas) and disrupted road users because they were carried out on the highway.

"We really hope that this incident will not happen again. If this is still happening, then we will take firm and measured action," he said.
According to Kombes Nicolas, brawls between residents often occur because both parties hold grudges and challenge each other.
"Never had their grudge ended. So, they felt the greatest and mocked each other through Instagram and manual," he said.
Kombes Nicolas added that there were no casualties in the incident. However, there were victims of its members who were hit by stones when they dispersed the brawlers.
Currently, the East Jakarta Metro Police have made various efforts, both preventive and repressive so that the brawl does not happen again.
"We have also initiated a peace declaration between the two residents," he said.
