Placebo Clarification After Chaos On Stage, Professionalism That Ends In Cemoo
JAKARTA - An alternative rock group from England, Placebo is currently drawing criticism from music lovers, especially those who watched them on the St Gallen Festival stage at the end of last June.
The musician's duo was ridiculed for failing to perform optimally on the stage. There were many technical problems that disappointed the audience.
After more than a week, Placebo finally responded to the storm of criticism that came. They posted clarification via their official Instagram account on July 8 yesterday.
"We have listened to many discussions, arguments, accusations & disputes between our fans in connection with our cut concert at the St Gallen festival. We have also received many insults (not imaginative & entitled). So we want to provide clarity about what happened during our concert at the St Gallen festival," they wrote.

"Not long after the set, Stefan [Olsdal] started having technical problems until finally the guitar system stopped functioning fully. So he can no longer play any songs he plays with his guitar. Any effort to address the problems made by our world-class crew has been done but has not worked," the statement continued.
With such conditions, Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal try to be professional. They want to continue the set with what they are, to keep respecting the audience who come.
"We had the choice to leave, but we decided to keep appearing on stage as well as we could," he continued.
Placebo also emphasized that their band is 100 percent live, so they hope that technical problems like this are understandable. Finally, they hope that there will be no more attacks between spectators and Placebo fans if there is a similar incident.
