The Case Of Youth Confinement And Torture In Duren Sawit Was Transferred To The East Jakarta Police
The Duren Sawit Police have delegated the handling of a case of confinement and torture against a young man with the initials MRR (23) to the East Jakarta Metro Police on Tuesday, July 9.
Muhamad Normansyah, as the attorney for the victim MRR, confirmed the delegation of the handling of the case.
"Yes, that's right, the case is handled by the East Jakarta Metro Police," said Normansyah when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, July 9.
Normansyah admitted that his party demanded that the East Jakarta Metro Police apply other articles other than the confinement article.
"The articles imposed are not only articles of confinement, but also include extortion, threats, persecution, sexual harassment and others," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding today's agenda, he continued, the East Jakarta Metro Police will summon the head of the regional RT in the cafe.
"We request that the cafe be sealed, so that the evidence is not lost," he said.
Normansyah is worried because until now all the evidence has not been confiscated by investigators.

Previously, it was reported that the case of confinement and abuse by a group of people against a young man with the initials MRR (23) in a cafe in the Duren Sawit area was allegedly carried out by perpetrators who were active in certain organizations.
"There are mentioned certain organizations, but it's not good if we mention them here. Maybe they just feel safe because there is a 'back', right. Is it from the government or organization itself," said Muhamad Normansyah, as the attorney for the victim of MRR when confirmed, Monday, July 8.
Normansyah explained, in the case of torture experienced by victims of MRR, there were up to 30 perpetrators. They among them know each other with the victim.
"These 30 people are actually friends of all of them and have no relationship at all in the business sale and purchase case between HRA and MRR victims. There is no relationship at all," he said.
