2.1 Million Residents In Texas United States Without Electricity After Being Hit By Tropical Storm Beryl

JAKARTA - Tropical Storm Beryl has caused at least 2.1 million people in Texas United States without electricity.Officials in Texas said recovery efforts may take several days for some residents.Beryl's “ Badai had a severe impact in the Houston region and currently there are more than 2.1 million electricity-free customers,” said the energy supplier company in Texas, CenterPoint Energy in a statement quoted from Sputnik via Antara, Tuesday, July 9.Separately, Galveston County officials directly adjacent to the city of Houston said utility service providers were in the process of trying to restore electricity to homes and businesses as quickly as possible.The official also warned that residents might lose electricity in their homes until the weekend.Tropical Storm Berly hit Texas's coast as a Category 1 storm on Monday morning, but was classed down the following day.

At least three people died as a result of the storm, according to local media.
