PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep Visits PKS Headquarters

PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep visited the PKS DPP office on Jalan TB Simatupang, South Jakarta. Kaesang's arrival was highlighted following the statement of the two parties that both opened a coalition in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

Kaesang arrived at 16.22 WIB and was greeted directly by the President of PKS, Ahmad Syaikhu. Kaesang, who wore a batik motif, was present with the management and PSI ranks, going straight to the meeting room.

"The gathering must not be broken, we came to fulfill the invitation of the PKS president," said Kaesang, Monday, July 8.

Previously, the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep emphasized that his party would not close the door of the coalition for PKS in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

"No (cover up the coalition with PKS), we always open it. We always open it with anyone," Kaesang told reporters after visiting residents in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Friday, July 5.

However, Kaesang does not mind if PKS does not want to form a coalition with his party. He emphasized that PSI is ready to cooperate with any political parties.

"We will open it, if they close it, it's okay," said the husband of Erina Gudono.

Meanwhile, PKS wants to open the door of the coalition for the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. Provided, PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep advances to carry the Anies Baswedan-Sohibul Iman pair in the upcoming Jakarta gubernatorial election.

This was conveyed by a spokesman for the PKS, Muhammad Iqbal when responding to Kaesang's statement which opened up opportunities for a coalition with other political parties in the nomination of regional heads in the Jakarta Pilkada.

"As for Anies-Sohibul Iman's support, PKS is open to any party (including PSI, ed)," said Iqbal, Friday, July 5.

In addition to being willing to carry Anies-Sohibul or the AMAN pair, coalition candidates must also have a vision and mission with PKS and Anies-Sohibul.

"And have the same vision and mission in building Jakarta," said Iqbal.
