Galaxy Z Fold 6 And Z Flip 6 Leaks Reveal A Little Improvement Of Old Specifications
JAKARTA - A few days before Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event, famous leaker Evan Blass has revealed some information about the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 foldable phones.
Leaks from Blass, which appeared in Substack's e-mail, include a full-page screenshot of official promotional material for Samsung's 2024 foldable phone. While there is already a pretty clear picture of what both phones expect, this leak confirms some of the good improvements and the return of some of the already known shortcomings.
First, the images almost confirm that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be a gradual increase of its predecessor, Z Fold 5. The camera setup, which has not been updated by Samsung for three years, appears to be unchanged. The phone remains using the same 4,400mAh battery and 25W charging speed, even the screen size remains consistent.
However, there is a subtle change in the dimension of the phone. The phone is slightly shorter and wider (1mm on both sides) than Z Fold 5 and, more importantly, has a weight reduction of 14 grams. One significant improvement is the brightness of the internal screen, which is claimed to be 1.5 times brighter than the previous model, reaching 2600 nits. In addition, promotional material highlights the integration of Galaxy AI features, such as Circle to search with S Pen and live interpreters.
Contrary to rumors, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 does not appear to use titanium material or Gorilla Glass Armor protection such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 appears to be getting a more substantial update. Leaked promotional material confirms the 4,000mAh battery, the largest ever on a Galaxy Z Flip phone, addressing concerns about battery life in previous models. The phone is also confirmed to have a new 50MP main camera, as previously rumored.
Although the physical dimension Z Flip 6 remains unchanged compared to its predecessor, the promotional material reveals a significant addition: vapor chambers. This can improve the thermal performance of the phone, reducing the problem of overheating that often occurred in previous Z Flip models.

Both phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. In addition, both phones are confirmed to have 12GB RAM, which could be the first time for the Z Flip series.
Another interesting development is that these two phones are recorded to have an IP48 rating. Although both phones have had the same level of water resistance over the past two years, this is the first time Samsung's foldable phone may officially have a dust protection rating, although it is not a common IP68 standard on regular flagship.
Although this leak is likely accurate, the public does not have to wait long to confirm the details of Samsung 2024 folding phones. The Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for July 10. Meanwhile, Samsung attracted potential buyers with a credit of 50 US dollars (Rp. 82 thousand) to order devices, along with potential savings of up to 1,500 US dollars (Rp. 24.5 million)
