The Chairman Of The DPRD Asks All Puncak Street Vendors Who Are Ordered To Get Kiosk In The Gunung Mas Rest Area

BOGOR - Chairman of the Bogor Regency DPRD, West Java, Rudy Susmanto, emphasized to the local government that street vendors or street vendors in the Puncak Tourism Area who are disciplined must get a kiosk at the Gunung Mas Rest Area.

Rudy revealed that the Bogor Regency Government needs to accommodate all street vendors on the Puncak route.

He reminded the importance of ensuring that relocated traders get the stalls that have been provided. Rudy also asked PT Sayuga Wisata as a rest area manager, to make policies that favor the community.

"BUMD certainly wants profit, but our main focus is to serve the people of Bogor Regency," said Rudy as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 25.

According to him, the Bogor Regency Government before carrying out control must ensure that the policies taken are in favor of the community's economy.

"Don't let the area be neatly arranged, but the community's economy is stagnant. Policies must be balanced between seeking profit and the interests of the community," he said.

Rudy emphasized the importance of a good solution for the community in creating good governance. He even suggested that the Regional Government sit down with business actors to get the best solution.

"If the rest area is well organized, there must be the best solution. Make sure traders who have been registered from the beginning occupy the rest area," said Rudy.

Meanwhile, Acting Regent of Bogor Asmawa Tosepu ensured that the economy of street vendors or street vendors in the Puncak Tourism Area, Bogor Regency, West Java would be better after moving to the Gunung Mas Rest Area.

The Bogor Regency Government has provided various facilities for traders, including free retribution fees for the next six months.

The manager of the Mount Mas Rest Area, PT Sayuga Wisata, is even integrating the entrance and exit of the Gunung Mas Tourism Agro with a rest area, so that traders are crowded with tourists.

"We hope that the economy will be better, because the flow in and out of Gunung Mas will cross here (Rest Area Gunung Mas)," said Asmawa.

In addition, the Bogor Regency Government also frees parking costs for tourist vehicles entering and leaving the Gunung Mas Rest Area.

He considered the paid parking system implemented since the Gunung Mas Rest Area operated in mid-2023 as one of the reasons for the lack of visitors.
