Anies Baswedan Opens Signal To Meet Prabowo
JAKARTA - Former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Rasyid Baswedan opened the signal of meeting with the elected President Prabowo Subianto to exchange ideas.
"We meet all of them. So, we are very happy to be able to discuss with everyone, to be able to exchange ideas with all of them," said Anies as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 21.
Anies said dialogue with all figures was needed in developing the area.
"In the end, we want every region throughout Indonesia to be able to get leadership that advances and makes the citizens happy," he said.
"So, we will have a dialogue with all, discuss with all," continued the former Indonesian presidential candidate.
Regarding the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada contestation, Anies said he was building communication with various political parties, including the Gerindra Party led by Prabowo.
"We all want Jakarta to progress and Jakarta to progress, the citizens are happy, that's not just the aspirations of one or two parties, everyone wants that. So, we build communication with everyone," said Anies.
Previously, Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, said his party was open if Anies Baswedan wanted to meet with Prabowo Subianto.

"Starting communication is nothing wrong, yes. Nothing is not good, it's good. The more meetings between groups, in my opinion, the better," said Habiburokhman.
According to him, Prabowo did not have sentiment towards Anies, regardless of the two of them being rivals in the 2024 Presidential Election.
"Pak Prabowo is never baper. With the parties who have clashed, he still maintains good communication," he said.
