BMW Series 3 Listrik Akan Hadir 2025, Versi ICE Dan Hybrid Tetap Eksis

JAKARTA - In 2025, BMW will launch an electric Series 3 which is built using the Neue Classe platform. But interestingly, versions of gasoline (ICE) and hybrid machines with similar displays will still be produced. However, this version of the gasoline and hybrid engine will be built using an existing rear-driven platform, but with the latest updates.

Launching Autocar, June 19, the certainty of the presence of ICE and Hybrid versions was confirmed by Bernd Ksebalber, BMW Product Boss. He also stated that BMW will maintain its rear and front-driven platform, as well as all engine choices and of course the car from the Neue Classe platform which will be the base of their pure electric car.

According to him, a similar situation also happened to Mini, which is owned by BMW. The gasoline and electricity versions of Mini Cooper have an identical style, but the electricity version is made in China using a special electric platform, while the gasoline version is produced in Oxford, England using a traditional gasoline machine structure.

This strategy allows BMW to adapt to fluctuations in global market conditions related to electric car reception.

"What we are doing right now is implementing our own strategy," said Kryptaber.

"For us, it is always clear that development will be very volatile because it depends on the issuance of regulations and customer needs," he added.

He also explained that BMW's strategy for the future uses a flexible technological approach.

That's why we plan to build all kinds of driving in one production path. If the market shifts to one direction, we don't have to close factories or reduce production shifts. We just have to switch to another," he admitted.

On the one hand, Jochen Goller also acknowledged that the prediction two years ago regarding the high sales of electric cars was too optimistic and now it is too pessimistic.

"I think that with the presence of more models with longer distances and shorter charging times, some barriers to purchases will be lost," he concluded, regarding the obstacles that occurred regarding the decline in market interest in electric vehicles.
