Tourists Drowning On Taipa Beach, Southeast Sulawesi Still Wanted By SAR Team
KENDARI - The Rescue Team for the North Konawe SAR Post (Konut), Kendari Basarnas conducted a search operation for a tourist who drowned on Taipa Beach, Konut Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra).Head of Basarnas Kendari Amiruddin said the victim was Moh Haris Prayoga (25). The loss of the victim was first informed by the Sawa Police Chief Ipda Muh Fahri at 17.18 WITA."We have received information that conditions have endangered humans to the two people who drowned on Taipa Beach, Lembo District," said Amiruddin in Kendari, Antara, Monday, June 17.He mentioned that at the time of the incident, one of the victims who drowned named Moh Barul Ulum (35) was found dead.Based on information, his party dispatched the Konut SAR Post Rescue Team to the reported location to provide SAR assistance."The distance from the location or Taipa Beach from the Konut SAR Post is about 48 kilometers," he said.Amiruddin revealed that during the search for victims, several elements involved included the Konut SAR Post, Sawa Police, Konut Police, local Babinsa, surrounding communities, and friends of the victim.The tools used are rescue cars, rubber boats, diving equipment, medical palsars, evacuation palsars, communication equipment, and other safety support equipment.The incident began when the two of them were together with their friends on vacation at Taipa Beach. At around 16.12 WITA, the two victims swam and were dragged by the waves and drowned.
"Friends of the victim provided assistance, but only the victim Moh Barul Ulum can be achieved and found. Meanwhile, the victim Moh Haris Prayoga has not been found until now," added Amiruddin.
