Mother In Mississippi Killed And 2 Daughters Kidnapped, Police Secure Victim's Dating Friend
JAKARTA - A woman in Louisiana was found dead at her home last Thursday. Her two daughters who were reportedly kidnapped could be found hours later inMississippi.According to police, one of his daughters is dead and the other is still alive. A Louisiana citizen who dated the woman was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi."He was carrying the victim's car along with his 6-year-old living and healthy son," Deputy Chief Jimmy Travis of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana was quoted as saying by abcnews, Friday, June 14.Another child's body, 4 years old, was found near a car in a forested area in Jackson.Louisiana State Police issued a warning to the children after their mother, Callie Brunett, was found dead at her home in Logerer, about 60 miles (97 kilometers) east of Baton Badminton. She was reported missing after no one had spoken to her since Tuesday. The cause of death was not immediately known."This is just an inhumane crime," said Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards. "Our heart and prayers for the families of the victims. It was a horrendous tragedy.”Police Chief Jackson Joseph Wade said officers contacted the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation's human trafficking division about the case. He said small animal cages were found in the forested area where the children were found.
"He tried to get rid of the children by taking them to this foresty area," Wade said of the suspect, adding, "This is a terrible and tragic situation carried out by a coward's actions."
