Official Vehicles Are Prohibited From Using The Busway Line In Today's Memory, June 13, 2016
JAKARTA Memories of today, eight years ago, June 13, 2016, Polda Metro Jaya is ready to take firm action against official vehicles entering the busway lane. Those allowed to enter are only limited to TransJakarta buses, ambulances, firefighters, and vehicles of RI-plated officials.
Previously, the presence of TransJakarta buses and lanes in particular brought benefits to Jakarta residents. Public transportation is one of the favorites of Jakarta residents to travel. Problems arise, officials often break through the busway route.
TransJakarta's presence was greeted with great fanfare since 2004. Public transportation has become the mainstay of Jakartans to travel. Gradually TransJakarta began to reach many areas and various groups.
The DKI Jakarta government has implemented 13 corridors as a seriousness. TransJakarta is also predicted to be one of the main studies for Jakarta residents to switch to public transportation. Even though there are minor problems such as fleets and TransJakarta pick-up times that like to miss.
Small problems are indeed disturbing. However, there is nothing more disturbing than private cars entering the busway lane. This condition is considered part of cheating. Because, the busway lane that incidentally for TransJakarta, is not something else.
On paper like that. Recently, there have been many cars of officials with RFS plates and the embassy car for jidat entering via TransJakarta. The average urgency is an excuse. In fact, not necessarily. The DKI Jakarta government and Polda Metro Jaya began to see this as a form of injustice.
The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) himself asked the Polda Metro Jaya to take firm action against busway violators. Ahok also asked Polda Metro Jaya to revoke special discretion rights on the busway route.
This right confirms that for the public interest, a policeman can act according to his own judgment. If this condition is allowed, then the residents of Jakarta will no longer be interested in using TransJakarta and return to private transportation as usual. Jakarta Street is again short of breath, and traffic jams cannot be decomposed properly.
"I have spoken directly with Dirlantas about the right to discretion. I ask for help so that there is no more discretion rights on the Transjakarta bus line. So, starting Monday, June 13, 2016 next week, no other vehicles should pass on the busway, except for fire engines, ambulances and ministerial cars with the RI license plate," Ahok said as quoted by the ANTARA website, June 11, 2016.
The DKI Jakarta government and Polda Metro Jaya also agreed to prohibit private cars and officials from entering TransJakarta. The regulation takes effect on June 13, 2016. Anyone who violates the regulation will be subject to fines for further legal processing.
