The National Police Chief Is Advised To Form An Audit Team For The Investigation Of The Vina Cirebon Case 8 Years Ago

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is advised to create a special team in handling the cases of the deaths of Vina and M Rizky alias Eky in Cirebon. The goal is to audit the previous investigation process.

"Kompolnas has advised the National Police Chief for an investigation audit 8 years ago by forming a special team," said Kompolnas Commissioner Yusuf Warsyim to VOI, Thursday, June 13.

In his suggestion, the special team will contain the police and Kompolnas as external supervisors.

The special team is said to be different from the assistance team that has been formed and contains Bareskrim Polri, Propam Division, and Itwasum.

"Yes, we function as external supervisors, of course we need to provide suggestions and input," he said.

The suggestion for the formation of a special team, said Yusuf, is to ensure that all investigation processes are carried out professionally. Moreover, to ensure a sense of justice for all parties.

"To provide certainty of professionalism and accountability of investigations at that time," said Yusuf.

For information, in handling the murder cases of Vina and Muhammad Rizky or Eky, the West Java Regional Police have named Pegi Setiawan alias Perong as a suspect.

In addition, there were also seven perpetrators, namely Jaya, Supriyanto, Eka Sandi, Hadi Saputra, Eko Ramadhani, Sudirman, and Rivaldi Aditya Wardana, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment.

The other one is Saka Tatal. He has been released from prison after serving 8 years in prison.
