5 Years On, Yong Junhyung Finally Apologizes For Burning Sun's Message Group
JAKARTA - Five years since the incident, Yong Junhyung opened his voice about the Burning Sun message group involving his name. His name was confirmed to be one of the members of the message group where pornographic videos were distributed without a consensus.
When his name was first revealed, Yong Junhyung's agency, Around Us Entertainment denied the report. Yong Junhyung was confirmed to be a member of the Burning Sun group even though he never shared his sexual video.
According to the SBS report, Yong Junhyung sent a private message with Jung Joon Young. Junhyung asked what happened to Joon Young, then Joon Young replied that he was caught recording and sending him to his friends.
Through his Instagram account, Yong Junhyung spoke about the rumors. He admitted he made a mistake in that situation.
"I'm scared and don't want to make a loss to the company and members (HIGHLIGHT) because of me, so I made the choice to get out of the group so I don't lose everything from where I have been for years," wrote Yong Junhyung.

I pressed the video shown on the black screen via a private message without a description and before pressing it, I don't know what it meant or what it said. After that, I said 'Stop it, this is wrong' but I can't say it so I ignore it," he continued.
The former HIGHLIGHT member admitted that he had never joined the Burning Sun message group or had anything to do with the incident. Over the years, he was named a member of the group. He tried to speak that it was not true but he continued to be named one of the members.
"I'm not confident in bringing the past in and thinking 'this will pass' I spend time ignoring it," Junhyung said.
"I sincerely ask that my family and loved ones see me including my fans. I will be determined to reflect on myself that I cannot explain in the past to become an adult," Junhyung concluded.
