The Vegetable Car Caught Fire On The Jagorawi Toll Road KM 1.4

JAKARTA - Pick-up cars loaded with vegetables suddenly caught fire while crossing the Jagorawi Toll Road KM 1.4, Cililitan, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, Monday, June 10.

East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. officers who arrived at the fire site immediately tried to extinguish the fire.

"One unit of fire engines was dispatched to the location," said Eko, one of the officers of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept.

The fire incident also caused the flow of vehicles at the Cawang-Halim intersection to experience congestion both on toll roads and outside toll roads.

"Initially, one of the other car drivers informed the driver of the car like that there was a fire under the car," he said.

According to him, the fire was suspected to have been caused by an electrical short in the car engine. Then, the tub driver pulled over his vehicle and saw that there had been an ignition, and burned the body of the car.

"The fire from under the car caused an ignition, so that the fire grew bigger. Alhamdulillah, the fire had been successfully extinguished," he said.
