Official Google Pay Pay Payment Tool Withdrawn In US

JAKARTA In February, Google announced that Pay or GPay services, a tool to facilitate payments, will be discontinued. Now, services operating since 2020 are no longer available in the US. Since June 4, the GPay app removed its users from the app automatically. When users try to log back into the app, Google provides a message that the payment tool is no longer usable. "The Google Pay US application is no longer available. You can still tap to pay using the Google Wallet app," Google wrote on GPay's main page. Although the app is no longer working, GPay can still be accessed on the website. Google Pay sites can be used to view incoming balances once the app closes. Users can also use their site to transfer funds from GPay to another digital wallet Google developed, namely Google Wallet. In accordance with Google's warning message, the company is focusing on developing Google Wallet, their latest payment tool. These digital wallets can be used to perform various transactions, such as paying accordingly or buying transportation tickets.

To date, Google Wallet is available in more than 50 countries such as Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Greece, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand, and much more. Unfortunately, this service is not yet available in Indonesia. For users who have used Google Pay, they don't need to re-registered to use Google Wallet services. All items or payment methods on Pay can be moved directly to Wallet.
