NasDem Pilih 2 Kader Pesohor Maju Pilkada: Farhan Chawalkot Bandung, Lucky Hakim Cabup Indramayu
JAKARTA - The NasDem Party has again issued recommendations to its cadres to run in the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada. Two of them are celebrity cadres, namely Muhammad Farhan and Lucky Hakim.
NasDem sent Farhan to register as a candidate for Mayor of Bandung, and Lucky as a candidate for Regent of Indramayu.
The recommendation letter was submitted directly by the Secretary of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) of the NasDem Party DPP, Willy Aditya and Chairman of the West Java Territorial Winning Division Saan Mustopa.
Saan claimed that NasDem did not ask for any political dowries when providing recommendations for the support to his cadres.
"We don't burden the registration fee for them, we only ask for one, don't disappoint the party, don't let them relax so they don't take care of the region and its people. That's all," said Saan in his statement, quoted Tuesday, June 4.
The Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR RI revealed a number of considerations in deciding the names.
"The track record is important, second of course the ability, third capacity of loyalty is especially to the community," said Saan.
Most importantly, he continued, the regional head candidates are committed to having partiality and have the will to work hard to make the area progress and the people prosperous.
"That's what we emphasize to all of them, because when NasDem nominated them they didn't ask for anything, except commitment and responsibility for the region and society," said the West Java NasDem DPW chairman.

Before working in politics, Farhan had a career as a host, radio announcer, and film player. Meanwhile, Lucky Hakim is an actor who has also served as Deputy Regent of Indramayu.
Apart from Farhan and Lucky, NasDem also issued recommendations to two of its cadres to run for regional elections in West Java, namely Rian Firmansyah as a candidate for Regent of West Bandung Regency and Eti Herawati as a candidate for Mayor of Cirebon.
