Mira Lesmana And Riri Riza Collaborate With Melly Goeslaw And Anto Hoed To Work On The Film Musical Rangga & Cinta
JAKARTA - Directors Mira Lesmana and Riri Riza will release the musical film Rangga & Cinta as a substitute for the film AADC 3. Two characters are familiar to Indonesian film audiences, especially the millennial generation
This time, the classic story 'What's with Love?' not only present in different genres, even though they are still set in the 2000s, but will also be presented to be enjoyed by teenagers today.
"Films are developing because of new concepts. We really love Indonesian films and this time we at Miles want to offer various genres and collaborations that open up new possibilities for the direction of Indonesian films in the future," said Riri Riza, quoted by VOI from a media broadcast, Friday, May 31.
"Apart from being lost in Rembang, Chile in a Haystack, Cubs and Bunga Malam, I hope that the musical film Rangga & Cinta will provide a new sensation for young film viewers. As a director for the film Rangga & Cinta, I will definitely present something different from my previous musical film," said Riri Riza.
The film Rangga & Cinta is starting the audition process to look for new stars, talented teenagers in the art of roles, voices, and dances that are believed to enrich the Indonesian film industry.
Even more special, Mira Lesmana and Toto Prasetyanto from Miles Films will partner with Nicholas Saputra, the well-known actor who plays Rangga, the main character in the film Ada Apa Dengan Cinta.

The screenplay of the film Rangga & Cinta will be rewritten by Mira Lesmana and Titien Wattimena. Based on the film What's with Love? (2002) directed by Rudi Soedjarwo, from the original story created by Mira Lesmana, Prima Rusdi, and Riri Riza, as well as the scenario written by Honest Prananto with Prima Rusdi and Rako Prijanto as co-writers.
The beautiful music and iconic songs composed by Melly Goeslaw and Anto Hoed will be back, as well as the addition of new songs full of surprises.
