Mashiro And Yeseo Out, Kep1er Continues Promotion With 7 Members
JAKARTA - The status of the Kep1er group has finally been revealed. A few days towards the end of the contract, the agency that manages their group released a statement regarding the member contract.
"We are pleased to announce the company and members of the project group Mnet Kep1er - Yujin, Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, and Youngeun agreed to renew the contract to continue promoting the group," WAKEONE and SWING Entertainment said in a joint statement today, Thursday, May 30.
"With this, Kep1er will continue to promote as a group of seven members after the project contract ends," they said.
As a result of consensus and discussions, Mashiro and Yeseo will complete their activities as Kep1er after the scheduled concert, they said.

Therefore, Kep1er will have a contract as a K-pop group, not a temporary project group. This is because previously Kep1er was a project group from the Mnet competition.
WAKEONE and SWING Entertainment will support the musical development of each member, all promotions including concerts in Japan in July, local promotions, and the last studio album as a group of 9 members. We ask for support and love," the agency said.
Kep1er is a group of 9 members found through the audition program for Girls Planet 999 which debuted in January 2022. They have a promotion contract for two and a half years with the agency even though they come from different agencies.
In addition, Kep1er will release their first studio album, Kep1going On on June 3.
