Safe Zone Massacre Protest Demonstration in Rafah Chaotic, Tear Gas Shot in Front of Israeli Embassy in Mexico

JAKARTA - Demonstrators protesting Israel's attack on Rafah broke out in front of the Israeli Embassy in Mexico. The crowd threw stones and tried to tear down the barrier in front of the embassy entrance.

The police responded by firing tear gas to disperse the crowd of demonstrators. However, the crowd persisted in responding by throwing stones and objects around them.

Quoting Al Jazeera, AFP reported that at least 200 demonstrators were in front of the Israeli Embassy in the Lomas de Chapultepec area, Mexico City, since Wednesday, May 29 morning local time.

They demonstrated against Israel's attack on the refugee safe zone in Rafah, killing 45 Palestinians.

Previously, the Israeli military denied attacking the refugee camp west of Rafah on Tuesday, May 28.
