Not Wanting To Give A Burden, AHY Mentions The Minister's Name In Prabowo's New Cabinet
BALI - Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) revealed that he has fully handed over to the elected president Prabowo Subianto regarding the matter of selecting the names of ministers in the upcoming government cabinet."We fully leave it to him as the elected president, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, because what is clear is that the Democratic Party has committed after fighting together and he certainly really hopes for full support not only during the campaign, but running the government for the next five years to be successful, and he conveyed it many times," AHY told media crews in Nusa Dua, Bali, Antara, Wednesday, May 22.AHY added that he did not want to impose a burden on the elected president considering that Prabowo Subianto was more understanding of the future needs of the cabinet."We chose not to give any burden or additional burden to Mr. Prabowo Subianto, because we handed over that he is the one who understands the most about the future needs of the cabinet," he said. The Democratic Party, according to AHY, can only prepare cadres, including ideas that can be used or implemented properly, which of course match the needs and priorities that the president will choose for the next five years."So we stop there, and of course in general we convey or have such a commitment, even if in the discussion we are always involved we also feel very happy because he (Prabowo Subianto) always invites good discussions, discusses how the economy will go forward, how international relations are, infrastructure development, including people's welfare, human resources and so on," said AHY.He said that this is what is important to continue to be maintained, and the strength of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition is in the spirit to be able to fill each other and strengthen each other.According to AHY, the challenges faced in the future are increasingly complex, thus requiring a solid, strong and compact team to deal with them.
"We also know that this was about water, for example, this is a challenge not only for Indonesia but also for the world. Not to mention talking about food, energy and so on. So there are many things that must be handled seriously and this requires a strong, solid and compact team. The cabinet is also capable and I think we need to prepare together," he said.
