AMBON - Ambon Island Police Chief and PP Lease Kombes Driyano Andri Ibrahim said that fights between residents that often occur, such as in the Arbes area, Sirimau District (Ambon City) due to people often ignore the law."Various incidents in the form of violations of the law or conflicts that often occur in Arbes are an illustration of the character of society who often ignores the law and wants to take legal action against themselves," said Driyano in Ambon, Antara, Wednesday, May 22.The affirmation of the Chief of Police was conveyed while attending a meeting with the King of Batu Merah Country, community leaders, religious leaders, youth leaders and heads of RW/RT in the Arbes area, Sirimau District, Ambon City.The meeting which was held after the incident clashes between residents caused one resident to suffer cuts and another arrow wound in the area also presented the Secretary of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Ambon City.He emphasized that the public should respect the law and trust the legal apparatus, namely the National Police by handing over all problems to solve investigators."There is no need to commit acts of violence as a form of revenge and so on, which in fact the impact can have a big conflict that is difficult to resolve and many parties will be harmed by the conflict," he said.The police chief also appealed to the public to no longer consume liquor because of the source of chaos or violation of the law. Including storing or carrying and using sharp weapons in the form of machetes, arrows, knives, spears and so on.He asked parents to provide character education, and supervise their children's interactions."They also have a high fighting power to make achievements and can avoid the misuse of alcohol, drugs and others.
